See what games you’ll be able to play launch day on your new hardware

(Editor's note: Nintendo announced more games will be updated for the launch. We added them to the list of "Free Updates" below.)
The Switch 2 releases this week, and already has a huge catalog of games thanks to backwards compatibility with the original Switch. Still, those who are buying the next generation console likely want something different to play on their new hardware. Here are all the physical and digital games launching June 5 for the Switch 2.
Physical Games

There are two types of physical games available for the Switch 2. These will have the entire game on a cartridge and be available June 5. They are:
- Mario Kart World
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
- Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition
- Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma
Game-Key Card Games

Game-Key Cards are Nintendo’s new hybrid games that require both the cartridge and an internet download. The cartridge needs to be in the system to play the game, but the content is all downloaded to your Switch 2 via the internet. Here are the Game-Key Card games available at launch:
