Capcom shows what’s Next
Two new games coming this year!
Capcom held their Next press conference and revealed a couple new games that are coming soon. What are they? Find out along with the latest gaming news from the past week. Let’s go!
Capcom Next
Capcom held their summer digital marketing event Capcom Next last week. While they only announced a few new games, they interviewed the designers behind them and the games are all out this year. Here are the highlights:
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Monsters are attacking Japanese villages at night. You must help and train the villagers to protect themselves to conquer the evil attacking their home. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess releases July 19 on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remastered
The original zombies-in-a-mall game gets a new look and releases September 19 on most consoles. Better graphics, a new user interface and a new game engine highlight the changes. However, those who played the original and love the main character may be disappointed. The original voice actor for Frank West, the game’s protagonist, wasn’t asked and won’t return for the remastered version.
Other announcements from the Next event include Resident Evil 7 coming to iPhone and iOS and a tease for the next Resident Evil game. In a separate announcement, Capcom says their dinosaur-battling game Exoprimal will stop receiving content updates after a little more than a year.
