13 Exciting Game Announcements from Summer Games PR
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth

Summer Game Fest and the events that surround it make up one of the biggest public relations opportunities for the gaming industry. While dozens of trailers and release dates were announced, here are a few of our favorites.

Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth

The second part of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy brought the house down at Summer Game Fest. Most notable takeaway? The game will come on two discs for PlayStation 5.

Star Trek Infinite

A strategy-based Star Trek game where you face off against the Borg? You have my attention.

Star Wars Outlaws

Ubisoft offered an extended look at the new Star Wars game, where you play as a smuggler in an open world setting.

Starfield

Take to the stars in Bethesda’s latest game and new franchise. Microsoft did a deep dive into the gameplay at their event, and you can view it all here.

Hellskate

Hellskate looks to combine the best elements of Neon White with a Tony Hawk game.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown

Ubisoft brings back the long-dormant franchise with a completely new game.

Metaphor: ReFantazio

A new game from those who worked on Persona 3-5? Yes please.

Sonic Superstars

Miss the classic Sonic platformer game? Sonic Superstars scratches that itch.

Fable

Microsoft is working on a new game in the classic franchise, and it looks fantastic.

Frostpunk 2

A teaser trailer for the sequel to the original Frostpunk, where you rule and manage the last city on earth.

D.O.R.F.

Looking for an old-school real-time strategy game? D.O.R.F. might not have the star power of Red Alert, but you can tell it drew its inspiration from the series.

Citizen Sleeper 2

Sequel to the ahem “sleeper” hit of 2022. You’ll be transported back to the edge of space in this capitalistic dystopian RPG.

Spider-Man 2

Let’s not forget the PlayStation showcase that kicked off the summer PR season. You can read our article about it, but the headliner of the event is a return of the web-slinging superhero.
